3.
REQUIREMENTS
R e q u i r e m e n t s for the submission of
First article testing.-
3.1
first article samples by the contractor for testing shall be as specified
in the contract.
3.2 m a t e r i a l s . -
M a t e r i a l s shall be in accordance with the drawings,
s p e c i f i c a t i o n s , and standards which form a part of this specification.
3 . 3 F a b r i c a t i o n . - T h e control motor shall be manufactured in accord-
a n c e with Drawing C10527238 and drawings pertaining thereto.
3.3.1 Treatment, moisture and fungus-resistant.- The control motor
s h a l l be treated for moisture and fungus resistance in accordance with
MIL-T-152.
3 . 3 . 2 I n d u c t a n c e . - T h e inductance of the motor armature between
b r u s h terminals shall be 0.017 henries (H) + 30% at a temperature of 80°
+ 100 Fahrenheit (F).
3 . 3 . 3 R e s i s t a n c e . - T h e direct current (de) resistance between the
b r u s h terminals shall be 10.3 ohms + 12.5% at 80° + 10°F.
3 . 3 . 4 I n s u l a t i o n r e s i s t a n c e , - T h e resistance between any one ter-
m i n a l and the rotor housing shall not be less than 100 megohms with 500
V d c applied at 150°F.
3 . 3 . 5 D i r e c t i o n o f r o t a t i o n . - The motor armature, when viewed from
t h e bell housing end, shall rotate clockwise with a dc voltage potential
a p p l i e d between the numbers 1 and 2 designated motor terminals. Number 1
t e r m i n a l shall be positive with respect to terminal number 2.
3.3.6 Dielectric breakdown.- No insulation breakdown shall occur
at a temperature of 150°F when 500 Vac is applied between any one input
t e r m i n a l and the housing.
3 . 4 G e n e r a l s p e c i f i c a t i o n . - T h e contractor shall be responsible for
a d h e r e n c e to the following requirements of MIL-F-13926:

Dimensions and tolerances
(b)
Inorganic protective surface finishes
(c)
Part Identification and marking
(d)
Workmanship
(e)
Soldering electrical connections.
